Day 1: AIRPORT / COLOMBO
Arrival at Bandaranayake International Airport and welcomed by one of our representatives. Transfer to Palm Village Hotel in Uswetakeiyawa. In the afternoon relax at the hotel / beach .Dinner and overnight stay at Palm Village Hotel in Uswetakeiyawa.
Day 2: COLOMBO / PINNAWALA / KANDY
After breakfast we leave for Kandy. En route visit elephant orphanage in Pinnawala.. In the afternoon we visit the city of Kandy; Sri Lanka's hill capital is, perhaps, its most beautiful town on the island. It is 488 meters above sea level, and next to Colombo, Sri Lanka's most visited place. The focal point of the town is the golden-roofed Dalada Maligawa Temple, where the sacred tooth relic of the Buddha is enshrined. Kandy is an exciting place for shopping, with souvenirs in wood, copper, silver, brass, ebony, and bronze. Ceramics, lacquer work, handlooms, batiks, jewellery and rush and reed-ware can also be found. In the evening we watch a cultural performance by traditional Kandyan Dancers and drummers. Day 3: KANDY / PERADENIYA / NUWARA-ELIYA
After breakfast we leave for Nuwara-Eliya. En route a visit tea factory & plantation and Hanuman temple. In the afternoon a city tour of Nuwara-Eliya including a boat ride in Gregory lake. Set in the heart of tea-country, this beautiful town is where the British succeeded in creating an English countryside, with homes in styles from Georgian to Queen Anne. Well-kept lawns with hedges, an Anglican church, and the famous golf course and beautiful parks given the place an air of real nostalgia. Situated 1,890 meters above sea level, the air is cool and fresh - a serene retreat. Acres andacres of tea with its lush green foliage extend miles across the hills. Dinner and overnight stay at Leisure Village in Nuwaraeliya.
Day 4: NUWARAELIYA / KITULGALA / BENTOTA
After breakfast you will leave for Bentota. On the way you have the option of taking a trip to Horton Plains, Sri Lanka's highest and most isolated plateau. Set on a backdrop of the hauntingly beautiful landscape of cloud forests and endless grasslands, Horton Plains is the perfect place for nature lovers, with its rich biodiversity and stunning views. Those who visit Horton Plains can't help but be enamoured by the sight of many wild animals and different species of birds enjoying the resplendent surroundings. Walk through Horton Plains to the precipice known as World's End - a sheer drop of an astonishing 1,050 meters, an excellent place to look out over the surrounding hills, and a popular spot for photos.If, however, you are feeling more adventurous, you have the option to skip Horton Plains and go white water rafting instead. Spend an adrenalin-filled morning racing along the Kelani River on its grade 3 rapids to take in the beautiful surroundings of the hill-country at high-speed! After this you will move on to Bentota.Dinner and overnight stay at Induruwa Beach Hotel in Bentota
Day 5: BENTOTA / GALLE / BENTOTA
If you are feeling worn out from your adventure, today you can spend a relaxing day at your hotel in the quaint, coastal town of Beruwala. Alternatively you may head further down the coastline to Galle, a bustling provincial capital and administrative centre for the South. Once a port, Galle was Sri Lanka's first international commerce and trade centre, and these days the streets are still awash with a cosmopolitan range of goods available to buy in exotic markets and quirky art galleries. The Dutch presence is still visible in Galle, and should you want to retrace the footsteps of the Dutch rule, let our guide give you the tour of the old Dutch fort (a UNESCO World Heritage site), the Dutch Government House, the New Oriental Hotel (built in 1684), the old bell tower, and the Dutch tide-based sewage system. If you fancy a break from the hustle and bustle of city life, however, you can make your way down to Galle's beautiful Unawatuna Bay, one of Sri Lanka's finest beaches, where the crystal-clear sea laps the white sand, and wilting palm trees frame the picturesque coastline. Finish your day with dinner and an overnight stay at at Induruwa Beach Hotel in Bentota
Day 6: BENTOTA / COLOMBO / AIRPORT
After breakfast leave for Colombo : Colombo is a fascinating city, not only for its comfortable blend of East and West, but also for its cozy mixture of the past and present. It is the commercial capital of the county, Attractions: Buddhist temples, Hindu temples, churches the old parliament building, the zoo, museums, and art galleries. Dinner and overnight stay at a Palm Village Hotel in Uswetakeiyawa
Day 7: COLOMBO / AIRPORT
Breakfast at your hotel (room till 12.00 noon only). Leave for airport
